What is Cast Stone ?

Cast Stone, as defined by the UK Cast Stone Association, is "any product manufactured with aggregate and cementitious binder intended to resemble and be used in a similar way to natural stone." Cast stone can equal, or even surpass, the physical properties of natural stone in terms of strength, moisture penetration and consistency of colour.

Cast stone is an ideal material for use in new self build projects as well as refurbishment work, particularly in areas where stone is a predominant building material or development takes place in conservation areas.

Addstone cast stone is usually produced by the semi-dry process which gives components a slightly open textured face similar to sawn natural stone. Our colours are mellow and attractive, giving a warm contrast against traditional brick or rendered facades.

Our stock products include cills, heads, keystones, quoins, corbels, bullseye surrounds, copings and pier caps. We can also supply bespoke products where intricate matching detailing is required.
